Store Game Props Safely Between Events
Protect finished props from pressure, dust, heat, and missing accessories when they are not on display.
Finished props often get damaged after the event, when they are set down in a crowded closet or stacked with unrelated gear. Start by choosing a storage place where the prop will not be bent, crushed, or exposed to direct heat and sun.
Support the piece at strong points. A shallow bin with soft dividers, a labeled shelf, or a simple custom cradle can prevent handles and small details from carrying the weight. Keep straps, batteries, loose inserts, and repair pieces in a labeled bag beside the main item.
Take a quick photo before packing it away. The image and a short note about its location make it easier to check condition later and reduce the chance that an accessory disappears before the next event.
