Photograph Prop Build Progress

Capture useful work-in-progress images that help you document decisions, explain the process, and share the finished project later.

Progress photos are most useful when they show the change from one stage to the next. Take one wide image of the work area, then a closer image of the shape, seam, finish, or attachment point you changed that day.

Use a consistent background when possible. A clear work surface makes the object easier to read and keeps small progress details from disappearing into clutter.

Add a quick note for materials, paint, or settings that worked. The record will help with repairs, future versions, and any guide you choose to write after the project is complete.
