Make a Finish Line for a Game Project

Define the few requirements that make a project complete, then protect the work from endless additions and delays.

Projects often stall when there is no shared definition of done. Before you start, write the few requirements that make the object usable and presentable: the shape is complete, the main finish is applied, the piece is stable, and it has been photographed or tested.

Separate essential tasks from optional upgrades. A better display base, extra weathering, lights, or replacement details can become a later version. Keeping them off the first finish line gives the main build a fair chance to be completed.

Review the list near the end of the project and make one calm final pass. A clear finish line turns a good idea into a real object you can display, wear, or learn from.
