Photograph a Gaming Collection for Records

Make clear documentation photos that help you remember condition, location, accessories, and the way a display looked over time.

Collection photos are valuable even when you are not sharing them publicly. Start with a wide image of the shelf or storage area, then photograph individual pieces that have condition details, accessories, or packaging worth remembering.

Use clear light and avoid strong reflections on plastic windows or glossy boxes. A slightly angled image is often more useful than a direct flash that hides the surface.

Name the files or add a short note with the location and date. The record will be useful when you rearrange, move, insure, trade, or simply want to see how the collection has changed.
