Build a Handheld Console Charging Station

Keep playable handhelds organized with clear cable routing, gentle support, and room to remove each unit safely.

A charging station keeps playable handhelds from collecting in a drawer with loose cables. Begin by deciding how many units need to charge at once and where the power source will sit. Leave space to lift each console out without bending a cable or bumping another device.

Use simple stands that support the body of the console and keep charging ports easy to reach. Route each cable along the back or underside of the station, then label the lead near the connector. This saves time when similar devices use different chargers.

Avoid trapping heat or forcing a cable into a sharp bend. A tidy charging station should make the consoles easier to use, not turn routine charging into another storage problem.
